Boro hit eight as Sven's City capitulate
Match points: Whether or not this is Sven-Goran Eriksson's last game in charge of Man City he'll hope no one remembers it.
Everything was going well until Richard Dunne was, a little harshly, sent off in the 15th minute. Stewart Downing found the net from the spot and from then on Boro couldn't stop scoring.
Fabio Rochemback netted a brilliant 30-yard free-kick, Downing scored a second and Afonso Alves grabbed a hat-trick as Gareth Southgate's side stunned the world of football by scoring eight. It probably won't happen again for a long, long, time.
